Eat: Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant’s Christmas & New Year Platters

Say hola to a Christmas feast with a Spanish twist! The platters come laden with a portion of Spanish style suckling pig roasted to perfection, carvings of herbal roasted turkey, premium honey baked ham, potato salad, grilled jumbo asparagus and Brussels sprouts. These are available for both dine-in and takeaway, till January 1 2012.

 Drink: Starbucks at Rochester Park

Unwind with great friends and conversation over your favourite frappucino at Starbucks’ first concept store in Singapore. With its prime location within the lush greenery of Rochester Park, it’ll be hard not to feel completely relaxed. This store also aims to be eco-friendly by using energy-efficient LED bulbs and tables made of reclaimed wood, among many other initiatives.

Eat: Maison Kayser

This brand new Parisian bakery is renowned for their buttery, flaky croissants and excellent coffee. They recommend dipping the croissant into your coffee before eating it, for a kick of flavour that’s simply divine. Perfect for whiling away a lazy Saturday morning!

Drink: The Great 7-Legged Bar Crawl

Made famous by uni students from Nottingham, England, the 7 Legged Bar Crawl is where people will take part in the bar crawl in teams of seven. Six of them will be tied together in a similar fashion to a three legged race while the seventh team member will be the runner. The teams have to be dressed in fancy dress, and will move from bar to bar taking in a drink at each bar along the route. The participating bars for this inaugural event are Uncabunca, Bar Bar Black Sheep, Prince of Wales, BQ Bar, Molly Malone’s Irish Pub and Bull & Bear. Eat: 12 inch Pizzas & Records

For a hearty Sunday lunch, check out 12 inch Pizzas & Records, opened by co-founder of Timbre, Danny Loong. This casual eatery is a tribute to the man’s love of vintage vinyl records. The pizzeria is a bright, yellow-hued, retro-fitted, glass-enclosed area at V Hotel, and serves up over 20 savoury and dessert oven-baked pizzas (7- or 12-inch, thin-crusted) – mostly named after famous musicians, albums and songs.

Drink: Maison Ikkoku

Maison Ikkodu, a multi-concept store than spans across three storeys, means “House of the Moment”. The ground floor functions as a cafe that serves up artisanal coffee by baristas who were trained by a famed Japanese celebrity barista and latte art specialist. The coffees are brewed using four different methods – filtered, french-press, drip and syphon. The second floor houses menswear and accessories sourced internationally, while the third floor features a semi-alfresco bar that’s great for chilling out.
